Fashion advertising is primarily directed at the youth of today: So how can the petite older woman remain fashionable when nobody seems to be catering for her! If you are a petite over 50 it IS possible to find fashionable clothes that fit – It is just a matter of knowing where to look! And while the advertising gurus may not be telling you where that is, there are designers out there – and even high street shops – creating clothes specifically with you in mind. Confidence is rarely the issue for the petite older woman: The problem is more practical – It is about finding modern clothes that are comfortable, suit your body shape and are affordable. While some professionals on the fashion circuit may be adamant that today’s fashion is without age definition, there are many women over 50 who would beg to differ! For the majority of petite over 50 women therefore, the mini skirts and the low cut jeans in the children’s section are NOT an option.
